Phenolics content and antioxidant activity of three Sorbus species

Abstract

Analysis of three Sorbus plant species showed leaves had a higher content of phenolic compounds than fruits across all species. S. austriaca leaves contained the highest phenolics at 76.11 mg gallic acid equivalents. Antioxidant activity was assessed using DPPH, TEAC, and FRAP methods.
