Extractability of sodium ions from soil

Soil samples from two selected locations — alluvial soil (A) and clay loam (B) — were analyzed for sodium ion extractability. Chemical analysis included determination of soil pH and suspension conductivity. Shaking and ultrasound extraction methods were applied with three solvents (aqua regia, 5% CH3COOH, and distilled water) to determine pseudo-total and bioavailable sodium content. Ultrasonic extraction consistently yielded higher sodium ion recovery than the shaking method across all samples and solvents.Downloads
