Cyclosporine A concentrations in blood measured with the immunoassays on Roche e601® and ADVIA Centaur XP® analysers-what is the extent of the agreement?

Abstract

Cyclosporine A blood concentrations from 50 patients were compared between two immunoassay analyzer platforms: the Roche e601® and the ADVIA Centaur XP®. Results showed strong overall correlation between the two methods, but revealed proportional and systematic errors across the concentration range. Concordance was satisfactory for concentrations below 100 ng/mL, while higher concentrations displayed greater measurement variation between the two devices. The findings highlight the importance of method-specific reference ranges when monitoring cyclosporine A in clinical practice.
