Spectrophotometric Determination of Binding Constants of Ru(III) Salicylideneimine Complexes with CT DNA

Abstract

Ru(III) complexes with Schiff bases derived from salicylaldehyde and aminophenol, butylamine, and naphthylamine were investigated for CT DNA interactions via spectroscopic titration. Ru(III) complexes bound CT DNA with constants of 10⁴ M⁻¹. Results demonstrated 5-X-substituent influence on binding constant values.
