Inhibition of Iron Corrosion in Seawater Using Rosemary Extracts (Rosmarinus officinalis L.)
DOI:

The study explores plant-based alternatives to toxic corrosion inhibitors. Rosemary extracts (leaf and flower) have been shown to have inhibitory activity on iron corrosion in 3% NaCl and seawater. Findings indicate flower extracts outperform leaf extracts as corrosion inhibitors, though maximum inhibition was not reached within the concentration ranges tested.Downloads
