Investigation of Inhibitory Effect of the Aloe Vera Extract on Corrosion of Aluminium Alloys

Abstract

The inhibitory effect of Aloe vera extract on corrosion of aluminium alloys was examined using electrochemical techniques. The study addresses the growing interest in replacing toxic corrosion inhibitors with more environmentally acceptable alternatives. Aloe vera extract acts as a cathodic inhibitor against corrosion in acidic and saline environments.
