Chromatographic Methods for the Determination of Primula Acid 1 Content in Primulae extractum fluidum

Abstract

An optimized HPLC method was developed to determine primula acid 1 content in Primulae extractum fluidum. Using reversed-phase C18 chromatography with phosphoric acid and acetonitrile, the method achieved detection and quantification limits of 10.41 µg/mL and 34.69 µg/mL respectively. Results showed 0.2793 mg primula acid 1 per gram of extract. The straightforward sample preparation and reliable results indicate HPLC's suitability for this analysis.
