A study of 184 first-year chemical engineering students explored gender differences in conceptual understanding of rolling motion mechanics. Male students significantly outperformed female students, with particularly large differences on items testing rolling phenomena knowledge. Results suggest teachers can develop population-adapted lessons addressing these disparities.Downloads
