Abstract

Research examined how two plant species accumulated uranium from uranium-contaminated soils at varying concentrations. The bioconcentration factor did not differ significantly between the selected species (0.01–0.03). When citric acid was applied, uranium uptake increased substantially, with sage accumulating uranium from 6.03 to 21.28 mg/kg. The findings demonstrate citric acid's effectiveness in enhancing uranium phytoextraction from soil.
